As agribusiness firms become more diverse, the need for business educated agricultural graduates becomes more critical. This is a dynamic and opportune time to be employed in the agribusiness sector. The MBA degree with a specialization in Agribusiness will prepare you for career opportunities in the following fields within the agribusiness industry:

For those already employed in the Agribusiness sector, the MBA in Agribusiness will provide the traditional MBA curriculum to prepare you for management positions within your company while intermingling courses that will apply directly or indirectly to your occupation.
A student working toward the MBA with a specialization in Agribusiness will gain a background in the functional components of business administration; develop an understanding of the food and agricultural economy; and build strong analytical and decision making skills. The MBA in Agribusiness combines the expertise of both the College of Business Administration and the College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources faculty. As an Agribusiness student, you will share many of the same courses with general MBA students. A student working toward the MBA with a specialization in Agribusiness is able to develop a program of study that blends their personal interests with the functional components of business administration. The degree program is comprised of 48 credit hours.
While your program of study will not be limited to these areas, you can certainly get an idea of the broad range of topics that will help provide you with the best possible training to become an effective agribusiness leader.
Students also receive individual attention from the faculty and staff of the Agribusiness Program to help secure internships and permanent placement. The Career Services Center on campus is an integral part of the placement process, and has staff members designated to assist with placement of Agribusiness graduates.
